- When designing the new Continuum Core we started with two identical asymmetric pieces. Inverting one and rotating it 90 degrees, we merged them together to create equal mass displacement (symmetry). This created the reaction we were looking for; a tune-able break point found in an asymmetrical core combined with the continuation and finish of symmetry.
Wrapped with a solid version of the R2X Reactive and sanded to 2000-grit Abralon, the new Dimension gives its peak performance on heavy to med-heavy oiled lane conditions.
Since the Dimension will be the newest ball in the Master Line, we felt it best suited to test this against a Special Agent. When comparing the two we noticed very similar motion and roll characteristics through the front 30 feet of the lane. After that the Dimension produced a much quicker motion off the breakpoint. Not a skid/snap reaction but definitely a bold move as the ball encountered more friction in the mid-lanes.
This was a big benefit as the conditions broke down and we started moving inside and needed more recovery. Even though the breakpoint transition was quicker there was still continuation throughout the entire the hook/roll phase.
